ABOUT ME

Noah Wood is a multi-instrumentalist, composer/songwriter and producer currently based in New York, US. Originally starting music by learning rock songs on guitar, he eventually went on to study cello performance in college and music composition for graduate school.

Noah draws inspiration from independent artists in the alternative space such as: Porches, Blood Orange and Sassy 009 while dipping into genres like: modern pop, pop punk and classical. He focuses on big and dramatic chord progressions with lush, washy production to create a dreamy shoegaze-like production. This sound has lead to over 20k monthly listeners on Spotify with his songs on hundreds of personal and curated playlists and over 30k video views on YouTube.

Noah Wood, shares one of his latest releases "something new". Written back in the first few months of 2022 while Noah was living in Washington Heights (Uptown Manhattan), he wrote the song to let out my frustrations on being stuck in the rat race and the inescapable feeling of being stuck in such a hyper-capitalist place like New York City.

"This track is an energetic genre-bending bedroom-pop burnout anthem with a unique soundscape that draws upon the "walls of sound" found in shoegaze and synthwave aesthetics.” states artist. He continues “However, the song's emotional core is uncompromising on the angsty and moody energy that's commonplace in pop punk and emo music while sticking to modern pop conventions in songwriting and production.”

Noah continues to write new songs, producing and recording everything by himself to whatever genre and production styles inspire him at the time. "something new" is available to stream now.
